Tight-Lining Your Eyes

One of the most perfect techniques for a true day-to-night quick touch up is the tight-line. It’s lining the underside of your upper lash line to really bring out your lashes and give contrast to your eyes making them pop. You can use this technique too if you find your eyes sometimes appear dull and you want to punch it up a little bit. I have photos to illustrate below.

Before..

This illustrates where to draw the color. I used a small flat liner brush right on the underside of my upper lash line, you can use a pencil too if you’d like. You can color the fleshy part completely as well, but making sure the roots of the lashes are colored is the most important part.

After tight-lining, the only change from the first photo. Big difference!!

  1. The one I use daily is Laura Mercier Caviar. I really like it- I like the consistency too.

Bobbi Brown’s Gel liners are waterproof.

For real staying power though, I love M.A.C’s Liquidlast Liner. I ahove the hardest time getting it off, so I only use it for shoots where I need huge staying power. If you really want something that stays on (for days..) this is your guy!!

    Thanks for reading!
