Philosophy The Supernatural = Super Awesome

If ever you’re feeling just a little too good about yourself, might I suggest taking an extreme close-up photo of your face? You come right back down to reality, I promise. Ah, the things I do in the name of product testing.

I gave The Supernatural from Philosophy a whirl recently to see what it does on the skin. It’s a tinted, oil-free foundation primer that also doubles as a skin perfecter with SPF 15. I was sure that it was going to turn my skin bright orange, especially since I’m pretty fair, but it somehow melted into my coloring and gave my skin a brightening boost without adding much (if any) color at all.

It’s a shade that was designed to perfect all skin tones.

Little tube of magic.

The Supernatural is a multi-tasking wonder that’s meant for women who want to prime away fine lines and pronounced pores before applying foundation. It’s also a dream for women who are somewhere in between going bare-faced, and wearing foundation daily. I can find a reason for most women to use it, especially since it works so well.

Here’s the before shot of my apparently hairy face. I swear if you met me I don’t look like the bearded lady, but from this extreme angle all bets are off.

Before…

…and right after

These pics were takes seconds apart after rubbing a little into my clean skin, the lighting was the exact same and I didn’t move where I was standing. It gives your skin an instant soft-focus look that’s so pretty you can probably just use this (with a little concealer if you need) and head on out.

For those of us whose skin needs a little shove in the right direction, this little tube has just what you need. It makes your skin look a lot better, but I’ll warn you from now, it does absolutely nothing for unwanted facial hair.

  2. This looks amazing! I've been a makeup artist for over a decade, and still I'm not really sold on face primers- I just usually don't see much of a difference. I'm so amazed by your pics that I'm gonna have to stop into Ulta and check this out ASAP! Thanks for braving the close-up bare skinned!
