I worked a super huge Bobbi event yesterday and saw what seemed like a million women, all different ages, likes and needs but all bought one thing alike; the Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush. It’s my new BF for my lining needs. I used it all day with their Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (LOVE) but it can be used with any formula besides pencil. One woman didn’t like her gel liner because she felt it was too hard to blend, but she didn’t have this brush. After showing her how easy the brush was to use for even the most un-steady of hands, she kept her return and stocked up on a few more gels liners. The width is perfect for a medium line if you use it sideways, without making the line too thick. The tip of the brush has less dense bristles than traditional brushes which make it more forgiving and great for blending.
Had a long weekend? Didn’t sleep well last night? Pep up your eyes quick with Bobbi’s Tinted Eye Brightener. I’ve replaced my eye concealer with this little pot of magic. The peachy- pinky color is perfect for canceling out darkness around the eye and the formula is light and blendable without settling into fine lines like some concealers can.
I literally pile it on getting it really close to my lower lash line keeping my eyes looking fresh and awake. If you have super dark circles, you might try it over your usual concealer and if your eye area is overly dry, mix it with a little eye cream. This really is one of those products that most women can benefit from using- which is quite rare. Tired looking eyes are the worst, drop by a Bobbi and pick up a sample. You won’t be disappointed.
A question I’m probably asked most by people is what foundation is right for them, and there really isn’t a one size fits all answer. I did however narrow it down to a few I found to be the most effective and on what type of skin they work.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: If you don’t like the feeling of anything heavy on your face, are looking to save steps by combining moisturizing benefits with makeup and have relatively good skin that doesn’t need a ton of coverage this is your guy.
Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Foundation: If you have perpetually troubled skin and are looking for a full coverage makeup for occasions, this is it. I frequently use this on brides who break out before the big day. It glides on, provides great coverage and lasts all day. I wouldn’t recommend this for everyday use though- look to Estee Lauder Double Wear for fuller coverage all-day wear.
If your skin isn’t troubled or really oily this creamy, buildable foundation is for you. You might also want to consider Bobbi Brown’s Stick Foundation it if you travel since it can be an all-in-one foundation and concealer without a messy bottle that could potentially leak. Just dab it in the center of your face where the bulk of your discoloration is and blend away.
These days promises of product performance are so cliché they’re slogans- ‘long wearing’ this or ‘age defying’ that and rarely are they anywhere close to what they claim. However when Bobbi Brown claims their Long-Wear Cream Shadow stays on, doesn’t crease and maintains its true color, they aren’t lying. This product is a true performer in every sense, I use it as a base for shadow on clean lids.
You can layer them on top of one another and apply with either a brush, or for a lighter look just fingers. It’s a product that works for those who want shadow but don’t have the time or expertise as well as for the expert who wants to play with texture and layering. The color selection is broad and the blendability is perfection. Save the slogans Bobbi, this one speaks for itself.
