Tune in tomorrow (I love saying that..) to Channel 2′s Everyday show here in Denver where I’ll be talking all about vintage beauty products. Wish Upon a Wedding (and me) on Fox 31 Denver

Last week I talked about Wish Upon a Wedding, the charitable organization (of which I am a part) that gives dream weddings to deserving couples who are fighting illness or are up against something monumental where it just isn’t possible for them to plan and execute a wedding on their own.

Here is a clip from Fox 31 Denver of the wedding, the couple, and myself applying the bride’s makeup. I wish they would’ve circled back with a close-up of her once the makeup was finished because her eyes were pretty fantastic. I only had time to prime her eyes and lay down a base shadow, so we weren’t even close to finishing up. Can you tell I feel weird about her un-finished makeup being shown so closeup on TV?

Anyhoo- enjoy the vid and best wishes to Dominique and Myles! Thank you for letting me be a part of such a special day.

Trends in Bridal Makeup; My Brides Colorado Interview

From time to time Brides Magazine will reach out to get my take on what’s hot in the world of wedding makeup since I spend most weekends beautifying brides for my Makeup Artist gig. This time, it was a no brainer – Kim Kardashian all the way. Her makeup is always perfection – totally sexy but not too smokey or dark. It’s the gold standard combo of sultry eyes with nude lips, and girls ask for it all the time.

Check out what I said below on how to get the look and what to use – here’s a hint; you can’t go wrong with Make Up For Ever shadow in Wine Red, and Smashbox’s Eyelights in Smokebox

Video: Save Money on Holiday Gifts by Swapping

This morning I was on Channel 2′s Everyday show chatting about swapping makeup, holiday decorations, kid’s clothes and toys with your friends. It’s a good way to de-clutter and gather some holiday gifts (for free!) at the same time.

Need more info on all things swap? Click here, also check out THIS article I wrote on hosting a swap for beauty products, keep in mind the format works for swapping whatever and not just makeup.
