Per-fékt Eye Perfection Gel

Companies that stick with what they do well are a big favorite of mine. Per-féct is dedicated to a singular mission; giving skin the illusion of perfection. Bringing their product line to a total of three, their Eye Perfection Gel sits alongside their best selling skin and body gels which all act as a soft-focus filters to blur out fine lines and skin imperfections creating the best looking skin possible.

This ultra-concentrated (the formulas aren’t diluted with water) gel-mousse is applied using the cooling palladium tip that feels like a massage for tired eyes. Good old fashioned cucumber soothes puffy eyes, but peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic microspheres, and other magic-working wonders blur out fine lines giving them a much softer appearance, while a glaze of pretty color lightly coats the skin so well you might just skip the concealer.

My Latest Obsession- Moisturizing Eye Gels: Kanebo Sensai, Erno Laszlo

I can’t get enough of these dense in moisture, yet light in weight eye gels. They absorb right away leaving a feeling of firmness and the look of rested eyes giving makeup the ability to glide beautifully overtop. If creams for the eyes feel heavy, or don’t completely absorb at times, I might have just the solution for you.

Hydrachange Eye Essence from Kanebo Sensai is a clear, non-sticky formula with a weight somewhere in between a gel and an oil. Just a touch under the eyes wakes up the skin and provides hours worth of moisture from their very own “Silk Touch Hyaluronic Acid”and circulation benefits both under makeup during the day as well as overnight.

Liz Earle Superskin Range

Liz Earle’s Superskin collection is a well executed offering of products that add moisture and to nourishment to dry, sensitive, mature, and stressed skin.

Just know that when you use a Liz Earle product, you’ll get 100% quality and satisfaction with each and every product. It’s a line that I absolutely trust because it’s responsibly made with top-notch ingredients. She still makes one of the best cleansers I’ve ever tried which I still use it daily, so I wasn’t at all surprized when her new Superskin Eye & Lip Treatment $50 became my go-to eye cream for night and day. Fine lines vanish immediately but without a tightening effect, plus it’s great for those lines around the mouth to prevent lipstick from bleeding.

25% plant oils are used in her new richer than rich Body Cream ($50)that creates a glowy radiance and the appearance of healthy skin. It’s honestly the most moisture I’ve experienced in a cream, but it isn’t the least bit greasy.

Also new to the lineup is her Bust Treatment ($50) to lift visibly plump and firm skin that’s lost its elasticity using kigelia extract.

Her Superskin Concentrate ($70) contains pretty much everything you’d want in a moisture booster; oils of argan and organic rosehip, neroli, lavender and chamomile and vitamin E. It’s 100% plant oils for all skin types to help calm, soothe, and add some needed moisture.

Worth checking out is her new Try-Me kit containing smaller sizes of all 5 Superskin products along with her signature Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (the one I use), and an Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer.

L’Oreal Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream

If you saw my bathroom cabinets you probably wouldn’t be surprised, but perhaps a little overwhelmed. Day this, night that, serums, creams, and complex layering systems. I’m fine with it, but most women just want to get in and get out.

I think the ‘what to use when’ dilemma is a difficult one since skincare is already so confusing, which is why I really like the new Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream from L’Oreal. Twin twist apart tubes containing two complimentary formulas for day and night take the guesswork out of banishing crow’s feet.

The night version is a Retinol-rich formula with their Fiber-Restoring Complex to rebuild broken skin fiber reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Since retinol (vitamin a) can make the skin more sensitive to sun, the day formula contains SPF 15 mixed into light hydration and other skin smoothers.

The packaging is clever, the amount is generous, and the easy-to-use (and understand) concept is much appreciated. In a sea of products so smart we can’t understand them, this one makes wrinkle-banishing so easy.

Alba Green Tea Eye Gel

Green tea along with cucumber and papaya mingle in an organic base of soothing aloe to make Alba’s Green Tea Eye Gel a great choice for those with sensitive eyes or oily skin for a greaseless choice.

Just a small amount goes a long way, and the gel dissolves quickly into the skin so makeup glides over top. Problems with puffiness? Keep it in the fridge to really bring down morning inflammation.
