Liz Earle Superskin Range

Liz Earle’s Superskin collection is a well executed offering of products that add moisture and to nourishment to dry, sensitive, mature, and stressed skin.

Just know that when you use a Liz Earle product, you’ll get 100% quality and satisfaction with each and every product. It’s a line that I absolutely trust because it’s responsibly made with top-notch ingredients. She still makes one of the best cleansers I’ve ever tried which I still use it daily, so I wasn’t at all surprized when her new Superskin Eye & Lip Treatment $50 became my go-to eye cream for night and day. Fine lines vanish immediately but without a tightening effect, plus it’s great for those lines around the mouth to prevent lipstick from bleeding.

25% plant oils are used in her new richer than rich Body Cream ($50)that creates a glowy radiance and the appearance of healthy skin. It’s honestly the most moisture I’ve experienced in a cream, but it isn’t the least bit greasy.

Also new to the lineup is her Bust Treatment ($50) to lift visibly plump and firm skin that’s lost its elasticity using kigelia extract.

Her Superskin Concentrate ($70) contains pretty much everything you’d want in a moisture booster; oils of argan and organic rosehip, neroli, lavender and chamomile and vitamin E. It’s 100% plant oils for all skin types to help calm, soothe, and add some needed moisture.

Worth checking out is her new Try-Me kit containing smaller sizes of all 5 Superskin products along with her signature Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (the one I use), and an Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer.

L’Oreal Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream

If you saw my bathroom cabinets you probably wouldn’t be surprised, but perhaps a little overwhelmed. Day this, night that, serums, creams, and complex layering systems. I’m fine with it, but most women just want to get in and get out.

I think the ‘what to use when’ dilemma is a difficult one since skincare is already so confusing, which is why I really like the new Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream from L’Oreal. Twin twist apart tubes containing two complimentary formulas for day and night take the guesswork out of banishing crow’s feet.

The night version is a Retinol-rich formula with their Fiber-Restoring Complex to rebuild broken skin fiber reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Since retinol (vitamin a) can make the skin more sensitive to sun, the day formula contains SPF 15 mixed into light hydration and other skin smoothers.

The packaging is clever, the amount is generous, and the easy-to-use (and understand) concept is much appreciated. In a sea of products so smart we can’t understand them, this one makes wrinkle-banishing so easy.

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle

Not since Retin-A has anything made such a stark immediate difference in my skin as Peter Thomas Roth’s Un-Wrinkle Eye and Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads.

I wish I’d taken a ‘before’ photo of my eye area, my fine lines have improved about 75% in just a matter of weeks. My eyes feel more moisturized and I feel like I look more rested.

The Peel Pads combine a 20% solution of alpha, beta and amino acids, peptides, and vitamins to speed up your cell’s turn over rate bringing new, vibrant skin to the surface. You’ll absolutely notice a big change in brown spots, fine lines, and overall tone and texture.

There’s a complete line of Un-Wrinkle worth looking into if you want quick results and great looking skin.

Alba Green Tea Eye Gel

Green tea along with cucumber and papaya mingle in an organic base of soothing aloe to make Alba’s Green Tea Eye Gel a great choice for those with sensitive eyes or oily skin for a greaseless choice.

Just a small amount goes a long way, and the gel dissolves quickly into the skin so makeup glides over top. Problems with puffiness? Keep it in the fridge to really bring down morning inflammation.

Bieux Skin Advanced Eye Treatment Cream

Finally technology is catching up to claims long being made by companies like ‘reducing fine lines,” and “results within a week.” True, I’ve tested plenty of lines who are more hype than results, but with Bieux Skin, you can trust their word. So when you hear ‘results within 3 days of use,’ believe it.

I’ve been a fan of Bieux Skin since their original concept for a one-size-fits-all moisturizer being every-skin friendly. Free of parabens, silicone, dyes, and fragrance, this brand new eye cream delivers a day-long dose of moisture, treating every eye concern from wrinkles to discoloration from hormone fluctuation.

RéVive Skincare

I posted a while back about giving Re’Vive Skincare a try. I love the line’s premise, Nobel Prize Award winning findings incorporated into skincare. It starts with a bioengineered molecule called EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) which regenerates aging skin at a molecular level. The photos posted are amazing and they even offer an extremely confident free sampling program. I was able to try a good portion of this line and I really liked it. I’ll review the products I tried, and also include a Q&A with their VP of Brand Management.

Q- For an average woman in her 20’s-early 40’s what would you say are the essentials in your line she should be using?

A- 1. Serum Protectif: Essential protection from environmental pollutants including free radicals, exhaust and smoke.

2. Sensitif Cellular Repair Cream: Maximum amounts of Nobel Prize-winning-ReVive-exclusive bioengineered growth factor Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) plus SPF 15.

3. Moisturizing Renewal Cream: EGF and a mild glycolic acid exfoliation, for night use only.

4. Masque Des Yeux: A hypoallergenic eye mask that plumps, firms and removes wrinkles. Brightens the entire eye area and perfect for those ‘burning the candle at both ends’!

Q- What dictates the price point of the products and why should women spend more for them?

A- There was considerable research in the development of the line, particularly for the patented Human Epidermal Growth Factors whose discovery won a Nobel Prize for Medicine and Physiology in the mid 80′s. The serums are our ‘specialist’ products that contain exceptionally expensive ingredients, the most expensive of which is telomerase in Peau Magnifique.

For starters, I really liked the Cleanser Exfoliante which had mild exfoliating beads in a creamy base that removed all traces of dirt and makeup and left behind really soft skin.

It really is hard to top this eye cream, I really think I did see a difference in my own eyes after a few weeks of using it and the texture is perfect.

Masque De Glaise is probably my favorite mud mask I’ve ever used. It’s super thick and really effective, you can see an immediate difference in your skin’s clarity right after you remove it.

If there is only one product you buy from this line, make it the Moisturizing Renewal Cream which promises dramatic results and tight, glowing skin. With regular use you should notice a visible difference in two weeks.
