September Glossybox

A glimpse of September’s Glossybox which arrived today!

Kryolan for Glossybox Lipstick in GLOSSY Pink

Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water

Gkhair Moisturizing Shampoo

Gkhair Moisturizing Conditioner

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream

I just reviewed the Cleansing Water which I use in my kit so it’s great to have another on hand. I’m most excited about the BB Cream since I’m still wearing Boscia’s BB I bought in February every day. Missha’s version is hugely popular in Korea where the trend started so I’m happy to try the OG to see how it compares.

August Glossybox

I’m a little late sharing my August Glossybox, but here it is!

Biolage Exquisiteoil Replenishing Treatment

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

Touch in Sol Feel Like Honey Moon Skin Base

Illmasqua Nail Varnish in Purity (full size)

Ellis Faas Creamy Lips in L107 (full size)

Admittedly, this wasn’t my favorite Glossybox but I really liked the nail polish, Ole Henriksen serum (something I wanted to try it anyway), and the Ellis Faas lipstick. The best part of Glossybox is how I always forget it’s coming so it’s such a fun surprise month after month.

June’s Glossybox

Meatball sleeps..

The baby kicks in her chair…

And I snap pics of my June Glossybox from the floor of the nursery.

Ah, the glamourous life..

This month I received; First Aid Beauty Fab Smooth Shaving Cream, Kinerase Restructure Firming Cream, Wella Professionals Enrich hair treatment, beautuyAddicts Show-Off Mascara, Shea Terra white Chocolate Whipped Body Cream, and a little sample of A Perfume Organic’s Urban Organic fragrance.

I’ve always gotten an even mix of full sized products with deluxe samples from brands I know and some I don’t. It’s such a fun surprise to get in the mail every month especially since I’ve been slightly home-bound for obvious reasons these past few months.

Glossybox & Zoya Polish

I loved everything in my last Glossybox (Burberry lipstick!), but I was most excited to try out Zoya polish known for its natural formulations and long wear. Lara was the shade I got, it’s a really fun pink that I wouldn’t normally choose due to my addiction to powdery nude shades which means I have about 15 variations of essentially the same color. Lara is a shimmer-free, perfect for summer color that I know I’ll use over and over.

I recently got to see April’s Glossybox, the latest in subscription based beauty boxes delivered to your door so you can try out makeup and skincare at a great price. $21 a month is what you’ll pay, and this month had about $85 worth of products. Here’s a glimpse inside the box.

Cute packaging. Even the outside felt special to receive.

Great attention to detail. It was all wrapped up like a gift to a friend.

Its contents

What was included in this box:

Erno Laszlo sampled their Hollywood Collection of skincare, a super luxe line that celebrates their 85th year in the biz.

O.P.I had Kiss My On My Tulips (swatch HERE), a creamy bright pink from their Holland 2012 collection.

Basq: Cucumber Tea Soothing Eye Gel is great for puffy, tired eyes like mine.

Cargo EyeBronzer, a (possibly discontinued?) shade of shimmering bronze with a wand applicator to highlight the eyes as a shadow or to add flare to inner corners.

Kryolan High Gloss Brilliant Lip Shine, was what I was most excited about. Kryolan is a professional line of makeup that you won’t find in Sephora or mainstream stores but we Makeup Artists know it well. This gloss is super pigment rich unlike most glosses that deliver more shine than color.

CO Bigelow had a full sized (5.2 oz) Lavender Peppermint Shampoo. It’s the formula that started out in hotels exclusively but became so popular they began selling it to the masses.

But is it worth it?

I gotta say that based on this box, I think $21 is a great deal. All but one were full sized offerings so it isn’t just a box of samples, though I’m sure they’ll be included as well. I also like the non-mainstream offerings like Kryolan and Basq that you may not try otherwise – which is really what this type of service is all about, right?
