I don’t think I ever posted this vid of my dog Meatball. It pretty much solved the mystery of which dog was tearing paper for the past 2 years when we left the house, but we actually thought it was Frisco the whole time. As you can see, he was reprimanded. In spite of my harsh scolding, paper is still torn around the house on a fairly regular basis.
Anyone catch Dr. Jeannette Graf on Dr. Oz last week? She recommended 3 things that she feels make the biggest difference to the look of your skin. She said that using a daily SPF should be a given, but to bump up its effectiveness, also wear an antioxidant – she liked THIS one from Glytone. Of course she also loved retinol (what doc doesn’t?) because it’s the most effective anti-aging ingredient around. She liked Avéne’s TriAcneal, a gentle formula to help the skin’s overall texture. Finally, she chose a chemical exfoliator called AHA 7 Fruit Amidroxy Exfoliator from Skin PhD , to speed skin cell turnover so new, bright skin can get to the surface and replace the old. Just make sure you’re also using some sort of scrub so you can slough off the old skin – a good thing to do a few times a week no matter what your routine.

If you watch the Ellen show then you know about her dance dares where people dance like maniacs behind some poor, unsuspecting person in a public place. She asked pregnant women to get in on the action for an upcoming Mother’s Day show and of course I had to do it. Even though it’s only 7 seconds I can assure you it’s not just awkward for me, but for my husband who looked like a weirdo following me around with his phone pointed at people. We’re lucky we didn’t get kicked out of a few stores. At last though, I found my prey – a young guy so involved in a mag that I could expose and embarrass myself properly.
Here’s the vid below- enjoy!
Here’s a look at my segment from this morning’s Everyday show where I brought my person arsenal for keeping skin looking great during pregnancy. Don’t mind the microphone pack in my back pocket, I thought I was going to be on the other side…
Here’s a list of what I brought along with pricing and links out to the products:
For stretch mark prevention and to soothe dry, itchy skin:
One Love Organics Skin Savior $68
For acne and oily skin:
For melasma, acne scarring, and discolorations:
For wrinkles and fine lines:
Everything I brought were products I use daily and love (you can tell by the Ole which had finger dips in it) so it’s a great lineup even if you’re not pregnant but just looking for safer, chemical-free alternatives.

I’m both nauseous and intrigued by this Haloween makeup tutorial video for a drippy monster face. If you’re looking to freak everyone the hell out, the artist in the video (she’s actually really talented) will take you step by step showing you how she creates this crazy look. Whether looking this way is in the cards for your Halloween this year or not, it’s pretty mesmerizing and worth checking out.
I watch this video like a frat boy watches porn (obsessively, minus the yucky sexual stuff). I think I might even have it memorized. I can close my eyes and see it all unfolding: The generous under eye concealer application, his artful powder contour, and the better-than-nude lip color. It’s a virtual symphony hitting all the right notes with women who are dying to know the makeup tricks that Mario Dedivanovic uses all the time on his #1 client, Kim Kardashian.
Let’s watch it again..
Seeing the cosmetic line Motives by Loren Ridinger logo everywhere, I couldn’t resist reaching out to ask them what Mario used of theirs to create this look. Within minutes, Loren herself actually responded (at 3am her time!) to give me a heads up that a complete list would follow the next day. And it did.
Here’s what Mario used in the video above from Motives by Loren Ridinger.
· No More Shine Makeup Setting Spray
· Eye Base
· Liquid Eyeliner
· Khol Eyeliner in Angel and Onyx
· Pressed Eye Shadow in Toast
Other things in the video that I spy are Lancôme Mascara (not positive which one, but he used Hypnôse Doll Lashes on Kim for her wedding), he’s holding a Laura Mercier puff the whole time (as to not touch her face directly – a Mercier-trained artist thing to do), EYE M GLAM is swept down the bridge of her nose, cheekbones, and patted on her cupid’s bow (his signature shimmer which I have and love). It’s like a makeup Where’s Waldo, every time I recognize something new.
To see the full listing of what Mario used on Kimmy K for her wedding, click HERE. On this 2 year old tutorial, he used a ton of M.A.C for Kim’s makeup but on the wedding list there’s a lot of L’Oreal and Lancôme in the mix. I’m not saying those aren’t totally acceptable to use, but I might be smelling a whiff of corporate sponsorship so take the list with a grain of salt.
