I was on Channel 2′s Everyday show again yesterday, and I brought with me a bunch of really cool products – literally. I chose 5 products that felt cool on the skin helping to chil out your beauty routine for the hot summer months.

Mariah Carey on HSN (video)

I’ve watched this 4 minute video of Mariah Carey’s recent appearance on HSN (edited by about 5 times now and it seems to get funnier every time. Included are her rants about how hard pregnancy was (‘literally I was 47 weeks pregnant’), scolding the camera operators, and figuring out what exactly she’s there to do (‘how much are you guys selling these earrings for?’)

It will remind you why when a friend is acting like a diva, you call her Mariah daaahling.

Watch Lernert & Sander’s 1 Year of Makeup Video

You must check out this video by dutch artists Lernert & Sander who applied a year’s worth of makeup to one model’s face over a 9 hour period. That’s 365 coats of makeup which breaks down to:

7 bottles of foundation (all makeup is by Ellis Faas)

2 bottles of Creamy Eyes E107

3 Milky Lips L205 pens

2 bottles of Blush S301

All together 7.7oz of makeup, just shy of a half pound!

Here’s a shot of the model mid-way through the day getting a little help to remove makeup out of her mouth since she couldn’t move for the entire 9 hours (how’d she pee??) and could only drink liquid through a straw!

Again, you can see the video HERE

Mario Dedivanovic and Eye M Glam Highlighter

Mario Dedivanovic is the hot Makeup Artist of the moment thanks largely to his BFF Kim Kardashian who co-stars in his YouTube vids as his palette showing how he creates her signature smokey eyes. He’s talented, and so mesmerizing to watch. The vid below is from a recent workshop he gave to fellow Makeup Artists yearning to learn his technique.

What he’s using in the vid (and says he uses often) is Eye M Glam, a highlighter he’s using on her lids to make them sparkle. I just ordered it ($40 with shipping) and I hope it’s worth its price tag considering I love the buckets of highlighters I already own. See, even I fall for it- my wallet was out before I finished the video.

Smashbox Spring 11′ Collection; In Bloom

I’m loving In Bloom, the spring collection from Smashbox that is filled with feminine, flirty, cheery shades that will slowly draw you in until you’ve nabbed the whole collection up.

I’m mostly obsessed with their Creamy Cheek Duo, one of the best cheek cremes I’ve ever used. Its sheerness allows you to build up mistake-proof color that’s flushy, natural, an super sexy. I’ve been dabbing a bit on my lips too for an easy monochromatic look, just add a few swipes of mascara and that’s all you need for an easy weekend look.

If you liked their Artificial Light lotion, then you’ll love the new powder version. A small, spongy applicator allows for precise application to the brow bone, cheeks, and your eye’s inner corners for a perfectly balanced sheen that tops off any look.

Check out this vid from Smashbox Lead Artist Lori Taylor who shows you how to get a look that’s In Bloom and just right for spring.
