Ridiculous Makeup YouTube Videos; We Salute You

For all those girls (myself included) who fear embarrassment and public ridicule (like this) every time we press record in hopes of capturing that one YouTube.com video that will be watched by millions, here is something to completely validate those fears.

Oh, and F.Y.I I think the ‘Enchanted Bipolar Dwarf’ is probably Enchanted by Paula Dorf. Although his version is much more entertaining.

Thanks Mike P for the heads up!

Video: Save Money on Holiday Gifts by Swapping

This morning I was on Channel 2’s Everyday show chatting about swapping makeup, holiday decorations, kid’s clothes and toys with your friends. It’s a good way to de-clutter and gather some holiday gifts (for free!) at the same time.

Need more info on all things swap? Click here, also check out THIS article I wrote on hosting a swap for beauty products, keep in mind the format works for swapping whatever and not just makeup.

Barbie Dolled up Nails Digital Nail Printer

I was just browsing Facebook looking through the ho-hum of my friend’s Thursday nights when I stumbled across this little gem of a post:

My daughter gave me a manicure with her Barbie nail printer that she got for her birthday. She’s doing a spa evening with facials and manicures… followed by pizza and cake and popcorn. This printer will be the hit of the party.

Rrrr, the record just skipped off the turntable. Barbie Nail Printer? This is too good to be true. A quick Google search later and I’m just falling more and more in love with this amazing little gem. Here’s the skinny; you can choose from the machine’s pre-loaded designs and pictures (like the leaves or a Barbie silhouette) or you can UPLOAD photos of your own and use them for a totally customizable manicure that looks like and lasts like a real manicure too.

Reviews are mixed on Amazon.com but one thing’s for sure, it’s $200 so you better be sure that design-based manicures are your thing before you order.

**UPDATE** Toys R Us has the best pricing $149.00

Clown Makeup Tutorial for Halloween

It’s day three of our kid’s Halloween makeup video series over at Walmart.com and today we’re featuring Thomas, a super wiggly clown who sat shockingly still as we (almost) completed his clown look.

This is the most time consuming of the 3 looks we featured, but it’s still pretty easy to pull off with a little planning and a lot of blending, you can check the video out HERE
