We celebrated what would’ve been our day at California Adventure by watching a few rides on YouTube and wearing the shirts I had made. We’re panning on making it in the fall which I’m excited about since I hear their Halloween festivities are incredible. The girls were like – oh, ok we’ll go later. Neutral reaction. I think Mike and I were most disappointed but let’s face it, we need the vacation more than they do. 🤣
Today felt normal, like a regular weekend. We started the day with a Zoom music class for the kids, then we did an art instruction from @artforkidshub which is amazing. I cast it on the tv and Everly and Lola drew several pics while Harper did writing and spelling. My bestie @ckruse11 was giving me shit about being a tiger mom and reminded me we were on spring break, but there are so many hours to fill these days. It’s nice to have some structured things while the day gets warmer so we can play outside. ☀️ The weather has been a lifesaver.
While Lola and Everly napped, Harper read for an hour, then we went on a walk just the 2 of us. We chatted about everything and laughed. She’s almost 8 now and just so grown up. I loved our time together. I need more one on one time with the girls. Even 10 minutes matter.
I did my hair today and wore jeans. I felt like a real, living person. 💅🏼 Any tips on creative things to do with kids? Happy to hear them- with so many days to fill I’m open to suggestions! 💫
Also- I look really tired and old since stress ages you and we were up until midnight watching Love is Blind so I wanted to try and edit my face but I’m not good at those apps and looked like a mannequin – check out that photo HERE. 😂 👵🏼
