Just a few images taken by Cassel for a recent shoot, with makeup by yours truly.
The first is a rich coppery look using Ben Nye shadows which are easy to find right now in various Halloween and costume shops. Their full pigment shadows are so affordable and easy to work with. These shadows, along with the rest of the line, is a makeup lover’s dream- it’s definitely worth finding.
I loved this smokey look- I used a new palette from my favorite department store line that isn’t out yet, but I will be reviewing its magnificence in November when the collection launches so you can grab it since it’s a limited edition. The palette contains a shimmery black, a deep, perfect midnight matte black, white and a pearly white. Using the white shades over the black ones created a silvery color with a ton of depth.
To re-create it, just start with your darkest shades on the outer corners of the lid, don’t take the color much higher than your natural crease. Use a lighter shade on the lid starting in the inner corner of your eye and let the colors meet and blend in the middle. The color effect should be light to dark going from the inner corner to the outer. Don’t forge the black liner all the way around the eyes connecting it in the inner and outer corners so it’s seamless.
