I started reviewing MyChelle 6 years ago and I’ve come to really understand and appreciate this line that’s local (Colorado!) and constantly evolving to provide skincare that’s cutting edge and safe using botanical ingredients. Their newest launch features Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring component in the skin that revitalizes, repairs, and protects the skin’s outer layers making it look softer and smoother. It also locks in and increases skin’s moisture levels. It’s a pretty amazing ingredient and one that’s present throughout the entire line. Here are my thoughts on what I was able to try, let me know yours on Instagram HERE.
This cream is the epitome of hydration without weight, a feel I especially love during these hot months when I pair down my routine and keep as little on my skin as possible. It’s powered by Hyaluronic Acid and Squaline to give it that burst of moisture, Plant Stem Cells which are filled with antioxidants and growth factors that repair DNA damage. It’s cutting edge skin tech in an easy to wear moisturizer that feels good and absorbs quickly. (Bonus: It didn’t break out my notoriously finicky skin.)
There was a point a few years ago when I truly understood why to use a mist. Think of your skin like a sponge, it holds more when it’s wet because when it’s dry it isn’t open or ready to absorb anything. A mist allows the skin to be open so it can better absorb whatever you layer on top. Just a few sprays on cleansed skin will prep it for your hydrating steps, as well as allow masks to better penetrate. I also like to mist it over a clay mask when I don’t want it to get super dried out, as well as and over foundation for an easier blend and a more natural look. This mist is so cooling and refreshing with Hyaluronic Acid, Plant Stem Cells, Niacinamide to brighten, and antioxidants.
This mask is such a welcome change from a clay mask and a quenching burst of hydration to summer skin. It feels like a cream, smells fresh, and has a gorgeous hue from the Blue Agave. I’ll put it when I have 5 extra minutes in the mornings, and then use my jade roller over top to freshen and wake up tired skin, but you can also use it as a ‘sleep mask’ all night to lock in moisture. (Don’t worry about it transferring onto your pillow, it absorbs much like a cream does after a while.)
Out of the whole collection, this was my fave. It’s a concentrated gel packed with Hyaluronic Acid, Plant Stem Cells, and other natural actives that is so unique. It’s so highly concentrated so you only need a dab of this light gel to increase hydration invisibly so you can layer your moisturizer over top. It can easily be added into your existing routine to use all over your face, or on stubborn dry patches- even around your eyes. (Note: A sample size is shown in the phone, the actual size is 1oz)
