Creative Nail Design, now known simply as CND, was everywhere at fashion week completing high-fashion looks with high-drama nails.
Their Thakoon look was my favorite, inspired by the 1930’s when ladies wore reverse french manicures in muted tones, this 3-D look was custom blended for maximum contrast to complete the spring collection.
Wanda Ruiz, an International Educational Investor for CND gave me the skinny on the look itself, and how women can take inspiration from the look into their own spring nail fashion.
Hot Pop Yellow, Cocoa, and Serenity were coustom blended to make the perfect muted-but-still-there shade for the reverse french manicure. Voodoo (one of my favs) was the deep tone throughout the nail. Nail extensions were perfectly rounded out into an almond shape, and although the look was exaggerated for the runway, Ruiz encouraged woman to file into a more flattering rounded shape instead of the squarish shape women tend to favor. Matching the shape of your nail to the shape of
your cuticle is a great rule of thumb.
She also encouraged women to be bold in their color selection, especially for spring.
