I guess if you think about it, showering is a pretty dull task. It’s not that I need to be told knock-knock jokes while lathering up or anything, but a bar of soap is so dull and depressing that I like adding a body wash to my routine just to keep it lively. I actually look forward to using these bold colored tubes and bright scents by Weleda ($10 each) that I bought a few weeks ago at Vitamin Cottage. The Citrus one is tangy and fresh while the Pomegranate wash is sweet and light with hints of vanilla and orange. Just a tiny bit into a pouf makes tons of rich foam which is totally amazing on its own but here’s the kicker: I’ve been mixing it with a squeeze of Jojoba Oil creating the most perfect shaving cream ever.
For some reason that little bit of added Jojoba Oil gives my skin some extra slip making it easy for the razor to glide over. It helps me to escape the usual razor burn and nicks I get from being in an unnecessary rush all the time when I shower. (I also use the oil post-shower on wet skin to lock in moisture as well as on my eyes to remove makeup. It’s just a useful oil to have around and a pretty inexpensive one too.)
