When we moved into this house 4 years ago, it was the 9th move Mike and I made in our now 20 years together. It’s the 3rd house Harper has lived in. Although I was thrilled to be in our chosen neighborhood, I wasn’t thrilled about the house and I didn’t have a vision for it because I was overwhelmed with the traditional style of the previous owner.

This sitting room has gone from my least favorite room in the house to my most favorite. I didn’t want anything formal, so when I saw these swinging chairs I knew they would anchor the space then the rest was easy.

There isn’t a day that goes by when that room isn’t used. I’m so happy I took the chance on the chairs and went with something non-traditional that just made me happy.

I received their Pore-fectionist Refining Facial mask a while back and was so taken with it that it quickly became my go-to mask that I started using at least once a week. It’s an AHA/BHA and pink clay mask that’s meant to detox grown up skin that maybe has occasional breakouts and some fine lines for brighter and better skin. It isn’t a typical clay mask that hardens or feels tight and its light pink hue exfoliates, purifies, and brightens instantly. It’s a $24 mask that works as well as any twice its price.

I used small sample of the Dream Cream Nighttime Moisturizer within weeks. Its easy texture is like a drink of water for my skin, light and invisible with squalene, rosehip oil, chamomile, and aloe vera. If you’re selective about how a moisturizer works, smells, feels, or its ingredients, I’m sure this is one you’d adore.

On the blog today- I’ve put together a 🏕 camping list for essentials that we’ve found really helpful to make life easier on the road.

Microneedling has been, without a doubt, the biggest game changer for my skin in the last 10 years. It’s something I do faithfully almost every night as part of my regular routine. I’m sure you’ve heard by now the buzz on CBD.

I’m sure you’ve heard by now the buzz on CBD. Cannabidiol aka CBD, is a naturally-occurring chemical compound found in marajuana and hemp plants. CBD and THC make up the two main ingredients in cannabis. THC is what gives you a high, while CBD does not. CBD has tons of proven health benefits and is legal in every state. I’ve used CBD for years on and off for anxiety.

When it comes to skincare, CBD has been shown to aid skin affected by eczema, psoriasis, and acne. It also gives big benefits with its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and overall healing properties. Since CBD in skincare is unregulated, it’s so important to choose a reputable company to make sure that what you’re receiving is the real deal.

You can really accomplish some big changes in you

You can really accomplish some big changes in your skin at home these days thanks to devices like @nira_skin

It’s an FDA cleared device that’s clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes in just 2 minutes a day.

Lasers naturally renew collagen production to plump and smooth skin and this handheld piece can actually do what a pro laser can. It has 5 settings depending on which strength you prefer. I use the highest setting to get the most out of the treatment and I can feel it working which I really like. It feels like the ‘rubber band snap’ they talk about when receiving IPL. Its a little pulse of heat that doesn’t cause redness or irritation, but you can definitely feel it.

I store mine by my toothbrush so I remember to use it twice a day. Give it some time to see results and take photos so you can see it work. Over time, the lines will improve.
