For the longest time I considered cleansers a bit of a throw-away in a skincare routine because you wash it off so quickly – who cares as long as it gets you clean, right? I sort of made the connection that it did matter years ago when I banned Mike from bringing another damn bar of Irish Spring into the shower. I didn’t want to use it on my legs let alone my lady garden, so why would I use just anything on my face?
I’ve been using Enessa on and off for years and I’ve finally resolved to the fact that my skin looks a million times better when I use it than when I don’t. Their serums never break me out and all of their skincare just feels so amazing and gives my skin a healthy glow. I’m just now healing from testing some things that broke me out like nobody’s biz, but it was my fault- I got a little too cocky and tried them all over my face versus the typical ‘forehead only’ policy I’ve adopted over the years for new products because I can always throw on a hat or whatever if it gets too bad up there.
Since that whole freak out I’ve gone back to basics which always includes Enessa. I can’t say enough good things about the line, but today it’s all about their Monoi Soothing Cleanser. It’s a totally unique cleansing experience and aloe based so it has that aloe sort of consistency with a nice slip that gently foams up (using coconut oil) and removes all makeup, sunscreen, and sweat that the summer leaves on your skin at the end of the day. The raw honey detoxifies, Tahitian Monoi oil hydrates while the Red Seaweed and Lamineria extracts stimulate blood circulation and eliminate toxins. My face feels so soft and clean and happy when I use it. It really is one of the best cleansers around.
I talked about lines that offered sample sizes yesterday, but wanted to highlight Enessa separately because most of their skincare comes in generous travel sizes for around $10 HERE is their complete travel size offerings, and the cleanser is HERE.
There are a few more faves from Enessa I’ll post about soon, but in the meantime use the code ‘beauty15’ to save 15% at checkout if you’re looking to try out the line. You can also reach out to them with questions about what might work best for your skin too, Michelle and her team are incredible!
