It’s pretty fun to be me right about now, I’m using products with some really innovative technologies that separate the marketing machine from the real deals in the industry. My expectations were not that high when I bought Clinique’s Lash Power Mascara, but after seeing their ad for it (too many times) and hearing the claim that it doesn’t budge, I figured it was worth the $14 since I’ve yet to find a mascara that I don’t need to constantly wipe away under my eyes all day long. The kicker for me was that it can only be removed with warm water. Not soap, not makeup remover, only warm water.
The formula wasn’t overly thick and a few coats did a nice job lengthening, the girl working the counter did say that if you like a really fat thick lash this isn’t for you, but for me it built up well like my other mascaras do. So here’s the thing, this will 100% guaranteed (by me anyway) stay put without smudging no matter what you’re doing, wherever you are. Jogging? Fine. Humidity? No problem. It’s that good. Removal isn’t as scary as I thought it would be, my typical routine of warm water on a cotton pad with baby shampoo did the trick, it sheds itself in specks much different from any other formula I’ve used, but with ease. Since it’s a new product, see if they have a sample available but you’ll probably just want to pick one up at Nordstrom or Sephora who both have generous return policies. Chances are though, you won’t need it.
