Let’s just pretend that something really witty and life changing was written here, because it was right before I literally deleted this whole damn post which took 2 days to write – something I do on and off when the girls are napping or whatever which makes it all the more painful. There were several stories about how I’m exhausted, which admittedly doesn’t sound all that hilarious, but my kids (and culprits of my tired state) are really funny little people and their stores deserve to be told. Now though, I’m just staring at this computer trying to piece something together so I can go to Whole Foods and buy overpriced yet beautifully arranged produce before picking 2 of my 3 girls up from school (at different times of course.) All of this makes me appreciate the messages on my cup and notepad sent to me by Colorado’s own Aspen Lane as reminders to keep grinding. I want my girls to see that no matter how tired I was, that I kept going and built something that I believed in and that was only mine. It all ties in with this very girl-power line of lifestyle accessories which are adorable (even the personalized leggings for babies.) And no they didn’t pay me, I just love supporting local.
Also not paying me today is Weleda for whom I’m an ambassador because I just love the brand so much. Basically they send things over and I’ll choose what I like best to share with you. (Sidenote: I’m not taking on sponsored posts because they were completely uninspiring. You don’t want to hear about my fondness for paper towels or dish soap just like I don’t want to think of creative ways to talk about paper towels and dish soap. I only talk about things that I really like and actually use long after the free product is gone.) Because I’ve been buying Weleda for years, it’s a great fit to bring more of their healthy and affordable line front and center. I’m all about body oils which I use on damp skin post-shower, then again mixed with a lotion to create a sort of thick serum that melts into skin without leaving it greasy. THIS $13 sample pack includes 6 travel sized oils, I have Wild Rose, Pomegranate, Birch Cellulite Oil, and Sea Buckthorn for really dry skin and they’re all awesome and totally worth the $20ish the larger size retails for compared to so many body oils that run $40-$80! Jojoba, sunflower, and different essential oils nourish the skin and give it a healthy glow that lotion alone can’t deliver.
Also, yes my computer is lavender. I had it colored years ago with a company called Colorware and it was money well spent considering I look at this damn thing every day. Not sure if they’re still in the computer biz (I think they moved on to gaming hardware), but it’s worth a look if you’re into that sort of thing.
