Is your skin feeling the effects of winter right about now? Mine is. Sallow, dry, and lifeless- typical for this time of year. It’s time to ramp up the moisture and also remember the sunscreen, the glare off of the snow needs shielding too.
What I say over and over about Murad is true- it does what it claims every time. It’s one of the few lines I’ve used over the years that I can say that about so I recommend it to friends and use it myself. Here’s a look at 6 of their best sellers in the snow from yesterday (on a mat I can’t wait to talk about because if you have kids, you need it.)
Shown left to right, top to bottom:
For a seriously rich cream:
Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture ($72): I’m usually not a fan of creams, but this one is ultra cushiony and leaves skin soft for hours. It’s the perfect night cream to wake up with hydrated skin that looks less drab than the day before.
For moisture without the weight:
Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence ($78): This might be my fave of the bunch. It’s the perfect combo of weightless and hydrating at the same time. You don’t feel anything on your skin but softness. My skin is so picky about what I use so I’ll break out within hours of trying something that doesn’t work but this one didn’t cause any sort of disruption and made my skin feel like silk. I got a friend addicted to this last week and she’s so amazed at how much better her skin looked and felt in a matter of days.
When you want an all-in-one primer, SPF, and skin-enhancing treatment:
Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF 30 ($65): I reviewed this blurring skin perfector when it first came out when I discovered this camera filter in a bottle. This blurring effect literally disguises wrinkles, fine lines and other imperfection making them a whole lot less noticeable and filled in. I use it pre-makeup for a more even and longer lasting application, but I also use it on those days when I wont wear any makeup at all so I’m getting my SPF and better looking skin in a really easy way.
For those with oily or troubled skin:
Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 ($40): This was my go-to moisturizer for a long time when breakouts were at their worst. It keeps skin really matte under makeup and has SPF 15. It was once the only SPF that would cause my face to totally freak out.
When you want a plumper pout:
Rapid Collagen Infusion for Lips ($24): I can’t wait to try out this lip plumper that uses the same formula as their popular wrinkle-reducing serum for the lips made to reduce those fine lines around the lip area and give a plumping effect too.
For a refreshing mist:
Hydrating Toner ($28 travel size shown): Just a few spritzes of this alcohol-free toner balances and revs up skin making it better able to absorb serums and creams you layer on top.
Or check out one of their skin kits when you’re looking for a more comprehensive and targeted solution to your skin woes.
The essence sounds great for my skin! And the lip plumper sounds interesting as well.
