I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told someone whose makeup I was applying that they needed to have a mole checked out. They usually say that it’s changed over time, or maybe started to itch- all signs of trouble- all ignored.
Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer and although scary, it’s a lot less of a threat when detected early. I’ve posted a few bits of information so you know what to look for on yourself and others. I just had an exam today- which took about 10 minutes to inspect my scalp, bottoms of my feet, and everywhere in between. Make it a part of your wellness visits every year, and don’t forget your sunscreen.
