What a time to be alive.
I feel lucky that my girls are at an age where they’re still little enough to be entertained by me and mostly simple activities. They’re actually keeping me company (and each other!) It’s a sweet spot for sure. Maybe it just seems easy because they’re mine?
As we enter into month 2 of quarantine, we’ve been talking more about what we miss about being out in the world. The girls are mourning things about their lives that they loved and were routine for them, and I’ve found it has helped for us all to talk about those things we miss and also what we’re looking forward to.
I saw this Covid-19 Time Capsule for kids online and thought it was the perfect way for us to keep talking about our feelings as well as for them document some things about this time in history. It’s 11 pages and includes spaces to color, an ‘all about me’ section, ‘how I’m feeling’, things we do at home, their handprints, how we celebrated different occasions (like drive-by parades), and more. Print the ones you think your kids would do, or print it all. It has been a good outlet for us that creates some really great conversations.
