When it comes to lavender, I know 3 things:
1. I absolutely love it.
2. Mike planted some in our yard so I can have tons of it on hand.
3. I have no idea what to do with it (aside from accessorizing this photo.)
I could probably get on Pinterest for some DIY’s but the last time I tried to make my own skincare I was burned by a container full of mold. I need something easy- a toner maybe? Room spray? What??? It seems like a sad waste for these potent little blooms to go unused but I don’t know what my availability and skill set allow for these days.
Luckily, Farmaesthetics just sent this pretty incredible pouch of Dreaming Oil that smells like the purest, softest, most incredible lavender I’ve ever come across. It’s made with organic Lavender and Clary Sage in a base of Soybean Oil- and that’s it. It’s meant to inhale either directly from your hands, dropped in a bowl of warm water, or even from a lightbulb where the heat can warm the oils. Its natural calming effects happen instantly so you can relax and drift easily off to sleep.
You can even place a few drops on your kids stuffed toys if they’re troubled sleepers to encourage a more peaceful rest which is what I’m going to do since Everly is in this phase of popping into our room to loudly wonder if ‘it’s daytime yet’ several times in the night which of course scares the sh*t out of me so that I’m wide awake for hours long after she’s back to sleep. On second thought, I’ll save some for my pillow too.
