This 10 minute DIY peel gives seriously glowing results- it’s what my skin looks like after a pro facial.
The first step is applying an activating peel gel with a 10% fruit, glycolic and lactic AHA acids to breakdown that top layer of dull skin. Once that dries, it’s time for the actual peeling mask, a thick cream with aloe and another dose of 10% AHAs, and fruit enzymes. Glycolic is one of the safest and most effective ingredients for the skin (there’s actually tons of research behind why glycolic, a sugar derivative, works so well.) It’s a sure thing for brightening, toning, and evening out the overall look and texture of the skin.
I’ve used it several times and it’s definitely the most active over the counter peel I’ve tried. I can feel it tingle for several minutes when I apply it and my skin is a little red after- both good signs that it’s actually doing something. My skin looks brighter, more awake, and softer right after a treatment. It’s a formula without parabens, mineral oil, and propylene glycol with 90% natural ingredients so it’s repairing my skin safely- a huge bonus.
I don’t know if it’s powerful enough to take on my post-pregnancy melasma and overall discoloration but I’ll stick with it, I’m trying everything I can at home (peels, microneedling, different actives) before having to go in for some laser work which is painful and expensive- my least favorite treatment to get.
