It’s rare for a company to create a line that meets the needs of all women. Our beauty arsenal represents many different brands because we pick and choose what we need from various lines rarely getting everything from just one. I think Moroccanoil’s huge success is largely due to the fact that they have created a product for all women because soft, healthy looking hair is a universal desire. Here’s a breakdown of the line (and what I’ve personally used) so you know which product would be right for you.
For All Hair Types;
Here we have the original Oil Treatment, the one the line was based around. It’s a powerfully moisturizing oil that adds tons of shine and even reduces your hair’s dry time. If you put a lot of heat to your hair by using a blow dryer, curling iron, and flat iron, this is a must for you. I use about a dime size amount which I found to be just right, but for fine hair their Moroccanoil Light is just around the corner. It’s something I continue to use even as I try out other products, nothing seems to come close to its results.
For Frizzy Dry Hair;
I love their Glimmer Shine Spray which glazes your strands with an invisible veil of shine. Blonde hair doesn’t reflect light the way dark hair does, but when I use this it makes my highlights come to life and my hair look like something you’d see in a commercial. In a fit of frenzied spritzing, I thought I over-did it but it didn’t create heaviness or greasy roots at all. It’s a perfect light finish to hair that doesn’t affect the hold or look.
For Intense Therapy;
In the years I’ve used hair treatment masks, none have produced this type of result quite like theirs do. Use their Intense Hydrating Mask if a quick flash of hydration is what you’re looking for. It just takes 5-7 minutes for full benefits and it makes hair soft in a way that I’ve never felt. If you have some serious damage that needs a little mending, their Restorative Hair Mask is the one you need. It’s enriched with Keratin and restores elasticity and vibrancy in the hair. After you shampoo the mask out, the feeling of your hair is like new. It doesn’t feel coated or heavy, it’s just completely soft and relaxed.
For a Daily Dose of Softness;
Just the way their Shampoo and Conditioner work on my hair is a new experience. My usual routine of using 3 different shampoos 2 consecutive times was given a much needed rest. This moisturizing shampoo gave huge suds (it’s SLS, paraben & sulfate free!) and was plenty strong enough so that one round of washing did the trick. Their daily conditioner is magic. It struck the perfect balance of softness without weight. It’s the most unique shampoo/ conditioner combo I’ve ever tried and I’m going through about a third of what I was using.
For Curly or Wavy Hair;
If your textured hair is a little out of control, you have to try their Intense Curl Cream. On the days when I curled my hair into its signature wavy look, I used the cream and found that it held the curl better than average and didn’t puff up like it can sometimes do. My hair looked great and stayed wavy for 3 days. If your hair is wavy and dry, you can add a little of the original oil to the cream or just on the ends for some added moisture.
For the Girl Who Loves a Blowout;
If you’re the girl who loves a good blowout where your hair is soft and straight and has tons of volume, their Hydrating Styling Cream will change your life. It allows you to form the hair into bouncy submission with tons of volume giving just the right amount of hold.
I wasn’t fully expecting to love this line so much just because I didn’t think it was possible for it to live up to the hype. Moroccanoil delivered all of its promises and more. It’s a fantastic line that brings your hair to a near perfect state.
Moroccanoil is the best I’ve found for bringing softness and shine to even the most challenging hair.

I have heard about the scent that it's like a suntan oil but better. I haven't tried it because you can't get it online.
I have heard a lot of good stuff about Moroccan Oil's products. Maybe it's time to try them myself. Hmmm.
I love their products! I use the oil and the restructuring mask! I just did a recent post on this brand. Check it out!!
