Here in Colorado the weeks of crazy May rain has given way to gorgeous sun and hot (90 today!) springtime weather. When it heats up, I trade my lotions and creams (expect for SPF!) for light weight serums. I tried Orico’s Superico recently, a feathery light serum for dry skin that uses plant and flower oils to nourish and hydrate the skin in such a clean feeling way. It’s also cruelty free, Ecocert and 73% organic so it’s a clean formulation which makes it that much better for your skin.
I know it seems counterintuitive that an oil would feel lighter than a cream, but an oil can absorb right into the skin whereas a cream can stay on top of the skin leaving it sticky and greasy which also means its benefits aren’t fully utilized because its ingredients didn’t absorb and do anything useful. It’s great layered too, so you can also use it under your usual moisturizer to give your skin a hydration boost while getting tons of nourishing benefits.
