Smashbox’s overall theory on makeup matches mine, which is why I think I love most everything they offer, including their addicting artsy-yet-easy videos that show step by step instructions on how to achieve different looks. This one is so easy, no eyeliner is required.
You’ve heard me talk about layering cream and powder shadows together for a rich, lasting look which you’ll see in the video. He also touches on matching your lips and cheeks which you should always do (and I never say always when it comes to makeup). Her skin was left natural- no powder on top to matte out the luminosity for a true everyday look that transcends all ages and occasions.
It’s pretty clear that Smashbox doesn’t just want to sell you makeup, they want to teach you how to use it, so their new Master Class GlamourEyes kits are basically a makeup artist in a box with photo instructions to teach you how to use everything the kit includes. Three kits are offered according to eye color; brown (pictured), blue, and hazel.
The kits are worth $175 and contain their best loved products for the eyes to really make them pop. Use the cream liner along the lash line smudging it into the lid, and layer it with the powder shadows that are so velvety and easy to blend it’s almost impossible to get it wrong. Their instructions are really easy to follow, and they also include tips for various eye shapes including hooded which I’m always asked about.
Bottom line- typically in kits like this, only one or two products included are really worth the buy, but here every single product will get a proper workout.
