When my friend and Denver Brow Guru Carla Gray gave me a Christmas gift of makeup, I knew it had to be serious. She’s a fellow beauty lover known to buy multiples of lipsticks she loves just to be sure she’s never out. She also keeps up with all the latest launches so I really wasn’t surprised to find that the eye liner she gave me turned out to be one of the best I’ve used- the Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner from Mally Beauty.
This little pencil somehow captures the best aspects of everything a great liner should have. The color is deep and rich like a gel pot, with the longevity of a liquid, and the ease of application you’ll find in a pencil which is always the simplest way to apply liner. It’s the darkest black I’ve found in a liner, it’s like midnight- as deep as it gets. It’s also bulletproof in terms of smudging so I love it for tightlining which is often times the only lining I’ll do. No matter what, it doesn’t transfer down to my lower lash line which is a pretty uncommon feat for a pencil liner, a formula notorious for smudging. It’s incredible and has basically wiped out all the rest I was using because it’s all I need.
The pencils are available 25 shades and just $18. You can find Mally Beauty at Ulta, but their complete shade range for the pencil is HERE.
