Let’s all just slow down a minute and enjoy a few things that are awesome, safe, easy to find, and not so expensive that they need to be insured. Go!
This ingredient listing could be on the side of a $80 serum, but it’s not. It’s on a $30 one that Avalon whipped up so you don’t have to mortgage your house to have good skin. Look-
Argan Kernel Oil
Shea Butter Esters
Sunflower Seed Oil
Apricot Kernel Oil
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (coconut oil and glycerin)
Raspberry Seed Oil
Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil
Citrus Bergamot Fruit Oil
Orange Oil
Citrus Lemon Peel Oil
White Tea
Lemon Peel Extract
Seriously though, I didn’t know what to expect when Avalon first sent this serum my way, but I ended up using it day after day because it felt so incredible. The raspberry and citrus oils offer tons of vitamins like C that brighten, clarify, and renew the skin. If you don’t have some sort of vitamin C serum or cream, you need one. Mostly because of studies like THIS, or THIS, or the other zillion out there that prove time and again that C is transformative for the skin.
This combination of heat, sweating, and the all of the product I use for softening caused some buildup that was literally coating my scalp (gross.) I just bought this Lemon Clarifying Shampoo a few weeks ago and it has made a huge difference. My scalp is clean, my hair is shiny, and I use less product to get the same results. I forgot how awesome a clarifier is and this one has no GMO’s, parabens, sulfates, preservatives, synthetic colors, or fragrance. It’s also vegan and not tested on animals. For under $10 ($16 for a 2 pack), it’s a total win.
Don’t go to bed wearing makeup. JUST DON’T! I remember reading THIS crazy ass article with before and after pics of a woman who apparently aged like a decade after not washing off her makeup before bed for only a month. A month! I thought for sure she worked as a clown or a mime and wore some serious paint during the day, but apparently normal everyday makeup is enough to turn you into the Crypt Keeper if you don’t purge it before you snooze. Have a good wipe on hand like these Gentle Basics ones from Jason ($19 for a 3 pack) so you don’t have any excuses.
I always try to be clear about this, but as a reminder everything but the shampoo was sent to me from the companies so I could test it for a review. If I don’t like something I’ll tell you, or I won’t review it. You can’t by my love. Well, maybe you can, but not for like $40.
