I remember when Oprah raved about Clarisonic when it was a pick for her 2007’s Favorite Things list. Her excitement about it had me worked up into such a frenzy that I called the company (because they were all sold out), and made up some crazy story to the service rep that I was leaving town for a 3 month sabbatical so I needed mine before Christmas even though they were completely sold out until after the holidays. Now, looking back I have no idea why I’d require a fancy facial brush in my imagined backpack throughout Europe or wherever, but I (like millions of others) had to have this new little device that Oprah called “A miracle massage for your face.” (It came in January exactly when she said it would, and my Christmas was enjoyed in spite of that fact.)
But look at her now, (below left) resting comfortably beside her new baby sister dressed in pink- more sleek and better than ever. Even though my OG still works just as well as the day I bought it, I’m so much happier with this Mia Fit that the company sent over to me a few weeks ago. It’s the same hardworking brush as my first, but they spent the past 5 years making improvements to the things that I would’ve tweaked too like size, design, speed settings, and softer bristles so you can use it daily.
All of those serums, creams, sunscreens, and makeup we use needs to come off at the end of the day and this is the easiest way to do it. I dampen the bristles then pump a little cleanser onto it to create a rich foamy lather making my cleanser go much further than with just hands. I always use a toner after cleansing and when I use my Mia, the cotton is clean versus when I don’t so I can see that it’s working. When you remove all of the debris on your skin, you allow for serums and treatments to penetrate better, and the deep cleaning leaves skin softer, clearer, and in much better shape. The radiance brush is for sensitive skin so it won’t leave skin red and irritated even if you use it twice daily.
Something like this is a no-brainer to recommend, it works great and makes your skin look better. It’s also a worthy investment knowing my last one hung in there with me for almost 10 years not to mention 3 long months of fictional backpacking through the Swiss alps.
