If you don’t already have an all-purpose balm like Repair Skin Salve from Colorado’s own Green Goo by Sierra Sage, you really do need one. This little tin sat on my kitchen counter for a week while I was testing it out, and in that time I used it on all of my girls’ dry winter cheeks (including the baby), my lips, cuticles, around my eyes, and my C-Section scar which it has really helped heal. It soothes any sort of compromised skin and contains only Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Aloe Vera Oil, and Beeswax along with some essential oils- most of those being organic. It’s not greasy but does leave a slight slip behind so your skin feels moisturized and balanced.
I think I’ll use it most for cuts and scrapes on the girls since ointments with a petroleum jelly base isn’t beneficial for the skin to heal (it’s actually quite nasty) and my girls seem to always be getting scraped up.
Check out their other products for first aid, pets, mommy (belly balms), and even a natural and silicone-free um, ‘personal lubricant’ which they call ‘Southern Butter.’ 😉
Good skin repair balm even for babies.
Nice photo 🙂
